A working framework for examining human systems.
The ETHIC Model™ explores how human experience, truthfulness, humanity, integrity, and collective responsibility can inform the way we examine, design, implement, and improve systems.
It does not begin by asking, What solution should we implement?
It begins by asking:
What are we seeing, what might we be missing, and how will our decisions affect the people living within this system?

Systems Literacy / Better Questions

Purpose: Your developing intellectual inquiry.
This answers: How do we learn to see systems differently?
This is where some of the strongest ideas from our conversations belong:
We cannot improve systems we cannot see, and we cannot see systems we do not yet have the language to describe.
Then:
Systems literacy asks us to recognize:
relationships rather than isolated events
conditions rather than symptoms
implementation rather than intention
patterns rather than incidents
interdependencies rather than silos
human consequences alongside performance measures
And then:
Complexity without clarity can create exclusion.
Clarity without complexity can create oversimplification.
The work is learning to hold both.

Better Questions
For example:
What becomes visible when we begin with the human condition rather than the institution?
When does efficiency improve a system, and when does it merely relocate burden?
Why do well-designed policies produce different outcomes when they encounter real organizations?
How should human judgment change when AI becomes part of institutional decision-making?
What distinguishes implementation from improvement?
And importantly:
The purpose is not to make you agree. It is to create enough clarity for the question to be examined.

This answers: Where can I see this thinking?
